Medium Term Staffing,

 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Solutions:

We have a variety of short term staff solutions available depending on your specific requirements. Please note we don't have any minimum staff booking requirements meaning you are able to use our services as and when you need to, we only ask that per shift you use a minimum of four hours bookings.

We can provide you with medium staff contracts to help cover Maternity cover, Long periods of holiday cover or additional cover while you are in the recruitment process. We also offer ongoing bookings where we keep the same team member linked to your setting ongoing ensuring they do not get booked by another client.

We are able to set up a contract to support your needs at the time, and can make these flexible to suit your specific requirements. It may be one day a week for eight weeks or it may be five days a week for four weeks. Whatever your requirements are, we are here to help and will be able to discuss with you the specific contract requirements required. Terms and conditions of business apply to all staff bookings and these will be sent out to you on your initial enquiry to the agency.

With medium staff cover the short term information is valid in terms of the agency staff used, meaning the same checks are carried out on the agency members.

If you wish to cancel a booked shift we ask that you can inform the agency with as much notice as possible, if the agency member does arrive at the setting we would enforce the four hour booking min as we like to ensure the agency member receives at least four hours salary especially as some of our team do travel long distances to help our clients. if you can cancel more than two hours before the team members shift time no charges will be applied. anything under two hours a min booking fee may become applicable. We do understand children numbers change and should you be left with an agency member for four hours we would suggest use this time to get some staff catch up done including children profiles and paperwork.

Temp to Perm:

Once you have had an agency worker with you for more than 12 weeks continuously, as long as the agency worker has not opted out of the agency worker regulations you are able to hire that worker from the agency without any temporary worker to permanent worker fees. Using medium term staffing within your setting may just help you find that next recruit.

Vetting:

Our Temporary team undergoes a strong vetting procedure before working as part of the emergency cover team. We gain references to cover the individuals last 5 years working history. This includes both verbal and written references from past employers. Our agency members are also asked a range of specific nursery questions during face to face interview allowing the agency to gain an understanding of their specific experience and knowledge of nursery duties. Our Consultants and office staff undergo safer recruitment training once a year to ensure they are kept up to date in the recruitment process legislation and best practice.

Training:

Once a year, each Temporary team member is given an online health and safety E-learning course to take, to enable them to keep up to date with current health and safety legislation. This includes Fire safety, Manual Handling, Working safety signs, COSHH and RIDDOR. We also require all level 3 staff to complete a 12 Hr paediatric first aid course. All staff are given Food hygiene to complete yearly on top of their review training. Additional training is provided to our team members via team meetings training events and online E-learning training books and CPD Courses.

DBS & DBS Update service:

We complete DBS checks on our agency members on an three year bases as long as they are subscribed to the update service, otherwise the DBS is done annually at a cost to the team member. This helps maintain our records in making sure each staff member is suitable to work within the Childcare environment ongoing. Our agency members will carry a copy of their most recent DBS's and qualifications on them while working in the settings. the update service details will be sent to the setting prior to the staff member arriving.

Each agency member signs a confidentiality agreement prior to starting work with the agency and are also asked to read our policies and procedures before any work assignments are given.

Uniform:

We have agency branded polo tops for all staff members and ask they wear black trousers and flat black shoes, they must cover all tattoos and remove piercings and sharp rings prior to starting shift. We also ask them not to wear any nail varnish within the settings. If a staff member does not follow this uniform code we ask employers to notify your consultant ASAP to allow us to rectify the issues.
